Losses include reduced harvestable tonnage and reduced white sugar recovery.Many of these pathogens also cause post harvest fortimel dm losses in storage piles.Control for diseases caused by these pathogens include disease resistant cultivars, avoidance of stresses, cultural practices such as water management and the use of fungicides.
